Run. I do not recommend CFA.From poor bedside manners to billing errors and a lack of empathy, my experience was horrible. I underwent two IVF cycles and two PRPs with Dr. Abbasi, and each was stressful and chaotic. The clinic fails to educate, set expectations, or keep patients informed.At every appointment, I had to ask for details about my progress, only to be told by Dr. Abbasi or her nurse, Iman, to wait for lab results. When the results came in, no one explained them unless I repeatedly followed up. I felt rushed during appointments, and my questions were often dismissed or half-answered.During my first IVF cycle, I contacted Nurse Gigi for help administering my medication. Instead of calling me, she texted incomplete instructions and eventually told me to figure it out the next day. On Christmas Day, I received a heartbreaking email from Iman about my IVF progress—no call, just an email.Billing was another nightmare. CFA requested a $6K disbursement from my fertility loan for an IVF cycle that didn’t fully happen, and it took over three months to refund me, causing unnecessary interest charges. My inquiries to resolve this issue lacked urgency. Khadija was a very helpful in navigating benefits.The clinic is disorganized and inefficient. For instance, I was told to purchase two vials of sperm because they didn’t realize I already had one stored at the clinic—another costly mistake.The final straw was Dr. Abbasi giving me incorrect information about my initial numbers and starting me on a new IVF cycle without explaining why the previous one failed or the rationale behind the new protocol. Many of my emails went ignored.Initially, I thought this disorganization was just part of the fertility process. However, after switching to a new clinic, I’ve learned a fertility experience can be seamless, supportive, and organized—everything CFA is not.

For my first apointment with Dr Abbasi and her Staff(front Desk and the girl who took my blood sample.) I was not disappointed. They are warm-hearted. Ready and willing to help.I feel comfortable talking to Dr Abbasi she has a respectuf, soft,conversational tone of voice.She asked the right question. She has a clear. Precise and concise communication. I do not have good experience with ObyGin in the past. Dr Abbasi is compassionate and you can notice that she has a reward experience and knowledge. She is definitely a caring specialist.

We love dr. Abbasi. She is very practical, super transparent, open to our questions, and a doctor with a ton of experience. Dr. Abbasi will tell you what she thinks and listen to what your thoughts are. She is super flexible - she has Zoomed with us during COVID when we need to plan for the upcoming treatment, called us on the phone, emailed and stepped in to help schedule treatments. I really appreciate her thoughtful demeanor and swiftness.

I love Dr. Abbasi. I had my doubts since another practice I went to was not a great experience but Dr. Abbasi is amazing. She’s very direct and knowledgeable. She found a reason that the last practice missed for my recurrent loss. She knows what she’s doing.

I am unsure how this practice has 4.8 rating.. maybe a lot of them had successful results and were happy. I am not leaving a negative review because my procedures were unsuccessful. For me, the experience with Dr. Abbasi was not great. One thing for certain is that she definitely not have the best bedside manner you could find in the town.Again, this 4.8 rating confuses me, and started to think if it was just me…? Dr. Abbasi was always in rush. I felt so anxious asking any further questions or just coming in for an appointment. Whether it was just me or not, I will not be returning to this practice.Ok, so it wasnt great with Dr. Abbasi.. but the office staff..? forget about it. The nurses who draw blood samples are more pleasant than anyone else in the office but everyone just seems overworked and tired and…. CRANKY! And good luck getting your phone answered. It’s easier and faster to just drive down there to talk to someone than waiting on the line.

This doctor is not responsibility at all, I already over 40 years old, if their clinic never success in IVF for over 40 years old females, they should told me about this, but they did not say anything, and continuous asked me to do IVF in their clinic. After 4 times failed, I realized I need to change to high success rate IVF clinic, but doctor Abbasi asked me to continuous do IVF in her clinic, the problem is that your clinic never successes for over 40 years old female, doctor Abbasi does not know this ? So earning money is much more important than the patient to save time to born children? super self fish doctor, not recommend doctor Abbasi, also not recommend CFA at all. Go to best IVF clinic, never use CFA when you want to do the IVF.

Ive been seeing Dr. Abbasi for about a month now, and the service is great each time. She listens to her patient and genuinely cares. Shes is on top of things and I look forward to the coming months.

I think the only negative thing is that I waited almost 40 minutes to be seen, but I do understand there are other patients and that it takes a while to look at my reports and put them in the system, since it was my first visit. but otherwise I had a really good experience. Staff was pleasant and Dr. Abbasi was very informative and thorough and waited for me to ask questions at the end. She also sent me upstairs for more blood work and talked to me about next steps of my appointments. I’m happy.

Dr. Abbasi is always very warm, welcoming, and responsive. We may have concerns before our call about an issue related to this surrogacy journey, but by the end of the call we are always reassured.

Dr. Abbasi is kind, thorough, and knowledgeable in her field. After Shady Grove told us our only hope was to consider surrogacy and no further testing needed to be done for the “unexplained infertility”, Dr.Abbasi delved deeper, provided us with answers, and created a protocol to fit our needs.

Its difficult to know how to set this rating. This has been a difficult, scary, stressful, complicated & confusing process overall! I chose this practice due to weight discrimination at another practice and the excellent customer service I received (Claudia) when I initially called. However, in the last few months (COVID-19 days) things have been discouraging. I chose Dr. Abbasi based on previous reviews of her style. I am a direct communicator, usually, and although some reviewers found her lacking in warmth, I disagree or that didnt really matter to me. What may be missing in warmth for some is replaced with honesty, focus and strength! Her personal style worked for me because I was looking for a straight-shooter based on my advanced age and weight. She has mostly been that way & I appreciated that very much but the overarching customer services has gotten worse and worse as I have continued to interact with this practice. I have a great deal of respect for her and Dr. Sacks but MOST of the surrounding staff need to either be better trained or replaced. This is a West End practice that charges West End prices so the service should line-up with the $24,000.00 (out of pocket)fee for IVF.

This is my second time being a GC!!! I have worked with Dr Abbasi since 2012. My Donor coordinators have been so helpful and knowledgeable! My current donor coordinator Gigi is so wonderful and yesterday when we made an awesome discovery even with COVID19 I was able to FaceTime her so she could be with me!!!! Thank you all for the support and knowledge that you have given me over the years. Both myself and Intended parents are so lucky to have you all!!!!

Columbia Fertility Associates is filled with world class top rated doctors within the field/speciality of reproductive endocrinology. My specialist, Dr. Abbasi, is extremely knowledgeable and has an investigational mind. My fertility has been a struggle! However, my husband and I have been at ease knowing that we will achieve our goal with professionals who are not only truly caring but also the best within the field!!

Dr Abbassi is very wonderful, smart and caring dr. You should definitely go see her if you have recurrent losses.However, the one star is the for the office staff. I’m currently in the DC office.They don’t communicate with the patients. You have to call or email everything and they don’t ever get back to you at all. You can never get the person you need on the phone and when you email they don’t ever reply to you and then you have to call and call. The front desk lady placed me on hold for 15 minutes and then hanged up on me when I called back she sounded so annoyed by me calling.unacceptable! It’s so frustrating! For a new patient that is NOT very impressive at all, and it REALLY does make you think twice before becoming a patient here. It’s bad enough an individual is dealing with recurrent loses, but have to deal with office staff that never get back to you with your results or calls you 1 hour before your appointment to tell you, your results aren’t back it’s unprofessional. They make so many mistakes about your care is beyond and like I said someone who is dealing infertility and recurrent losses to deal with such office staff is beyond unacceptable!Again the Dr is great but the office staff team are not.

We love Dr. Abbasi, she has been amazing all these years. We are blessed with our second child on the way;-) Thank you, Dr. Abbasi!!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Abbasi and the entire Columbia Fertility team. Dr. Abassi is smart, thoughtful, caring, and truly a fantastic doctor.

We (my wife and I) think she is great! We have a very beautiful baby girl thanks to her! And now looking for our second. We definitely would recommend her: she really knows a lot and gives good advice.
