Providence Alaska Childrens Hospital - Maternal-Fetal Medicine

Not impressed so far. Was given a referral on the 23rd. Apparently they were closed on the 24th (but no info on voicemail or anything to reflect this). Obviously closed on the 25th. No contact on the 26th. Called and left a voicemail in the afternoon that was never returned. Called this morning to be told by a receptionist who sounded annoyed that they just got my referral yesterday and it hadnt been reviewed yet and they would contact me early next week to schedule an appt. Not really demonstrating high level care or compassion or effort to contact scared parents who need their services.

My wife and I have been recently seeing Doctor Barber and we have been beyond happy with everything involved with our visits. He is thorough, kind, and overall a great doctor but also a good person who takes the time to explain things and make sure you understand them.
